Raising a family is no easy task, but there is also nothing so precious or of such great value!
Whether a traditional family, or a single-parent situation, we need the GRACE of God, right?
It’s important to ASK for the Lord’s help all the time, not just when you are in the trenches with tough issues. ASK for His correction and counsel each day. ASK for His “take” on things, for His perspectives to guide your hearts and minds in every circumstance.
PRAY THIS WITH ME:
“Heavenly Father, we ask You to be the Foundation and the Covering of our home. Holy Spirit, please dwell in our midst, fill our home with Your Presence, and have dominion over how we treat one another. Help us to love one another out of the abundance of the love of Christ Jesus.
Help our words to contain honor, respect, kindness, appreciation and encouragement. Help us to apply the counsel found in James chapter 3 about how we use our tongues. We will take note of the wisdom of James 1:19, 20 – we choose to be quick and ready to hear each other, we choose to be slow to speak, and we will be slow to allow anger, because short fuses and quick tempers do not make way for Your Righteous to have room to work!
We ask for Your peace, the peace of Christ, to prevail within each of us and within our home. We commit to study Ephesians 4:22-32 and be mindful and intentional to practice it daily. We know the counsel in those verses is powerful and life-changing.”
If I may, I would like to ask you to consider typing out and posting Ephesians 4:22-32 up in your home, in the room of your children, and perhaps near the eating area as well. Review these verses daily, and BEST would be if you read them out loud together as a family! They will bless the atmosphere of your home!
